Papers: Arches Text Wove, Bugra & Stonehenge. Text: Big Caslon. Pochoir illustrations. Black cover blind embossed with title, author's name, and illustration. These poems are a reaction to the post-911 political atmosphere and to the flies governments everywhere expect their peoples to swallow. Excerpt: "The lion lays down what seems a good law. He has such a fine head, we think we should follow it." -

In writing these poems, the poet says, she "was interested in reclamation of a lost history or geography and how a crumbling, degraded site can open up in surprising ways." The case-bound book features three different types paper made especially to complement the text: earthy banana palm, deep blue linen & translucent flax. -

Letterpress printed on a Vandercook #4. This book is a re-imagining of Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde". The binding is an original design, which opens to several pages of prose, and further unfolds to reveal two decks of comic cards--one chronicling Heidi's antics and one Jane's.
